Cormorants on Lake Neuchatel & Fishermen protest (1 Viewer)

In the UK. Yes. Over the last 30 years or so, from me seeing none on inland waterways to their being yery common now.

Things have changed. Numbers of wintering Great Cormorants increased considerably since overall cormorant numbers increased in Europe but what they are really complaining about is the fact that Great Cormorants have begun breeding on Lake Neuchatel which has certainly increased the pressure on fish stocks.

There is now a sizeable breeding colony on the islands at Fanel.
