A hepatic phase Cuckoo was feeding on Drinker Moth caterpillars this evening. This rufous-brown form is relatively rare and the first I've seen for over 20 years. This was one of at least 5 Cuckoos present around Coney Meadow. A few poor quality record shots (taken through bins) are attached:

2 Greylags over this morning.

Garden Warbler still singing in the eastern hedgrow.

Willow Warbler holding territory on Gorsey Bank

2 Kestrels, Sparrowhawks, Buzzards and the usual warblers.

4 Yellowhammers around Jacob's Ladder (Porter's Mill) yesterday.
