Hello, my name is Edgar and I'm from Portugal.
I recently started bird watching. Initially in the woods and fields near my home and garden. Now whenever I travel I try to get a look whether there are good places for birding where I'm going. I already have a pair of binoculars and a field guide but I'm still learning.
There are lots of interesting species in Portugal and I am fascinated by what I did not know existed so close to home.
I hope to learn more about bird watching in this forum and become an excellent birder like so many of you.
hugs

PS: Still trying to put an avatar. I have no idea how.

Welcome! I went to Portugal in the spring this year, it was a wonderful place for birds. You are lucky to live there! :)
