Sharpening its beak? (1 Viewer)

There's a metal fence post in the middle of the Tips Billibong in the Pambula Wetlands in NSW. Today an egret came up to it and rubbed its beak along the post several times.

Was it sharpening its beak?

Thanks for looking.
