Hi! I'm MK from Newark, DE. I... have no idea what to say about myself. I moved back to this area after living in VA/DC for about 9 years. On a whim and with no real idea about anything, I bought a bird feeder and stuck it in my back yard, and I went from filling it once a month to filling it every other week.

I enjoy reading, watching TV, music, hiking and spending time with my family and dog.

Hi MK and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi ya MK and a warm welcome to you from Myrtle Beach :t:

Careful! Feeding the birds can become quite addictive ;)

Thanks! And you are so right. It is VERY addictive! I'm trying to keep a list of all the birds that visit. Do you have a feeder? Any important things I should keep in mind?

Ummmm... I've got 9 feeders and 3 suet cages. ;)

I would strongly recommend some high energy suet for the birds for the winter and if you have a squirrel problem with the suet then switch to the hot pepper suet. The birds love it and the squirrels hate it ;)

Welcome to BirdForum! I am sure you will find lots to interest you here, and I hope you enjoy your visits.
