Can someone please identify this bird? Taken near Mashpi Amagusa Ecuador in July. It looks like a flycatcher (maybe).

I think it's Smoke-coloured Pewee.

Andrew, I was thinking the same thing originally but the rufous tail feathers and a little rufous in the wing bar have me confused.

I can't see any images of ScP with rufous anywhere either?

I agree that it looks strange. I did find some pictures of Smoke-coloured Pewees with rufous in the tail though:

It looks very much like one in other respects, and I'm not sure what the other obvious choices are. Smoky Bush-tyrant has orange in the wings but is a different shape and doesn't have rufous in the tail.

I think you're right Andrew. Smoke-coloured Pewee is the best fit. Appreciate all the help.

The brown on the tail does not fit to the ScP. It also have some brown on the wings.
I think it looks like an almost adult male One-coloured Becard.

Fritz I think you may have it. Found an immature One-colored Becard in OPS that has similar coloring (probably more advance/older) but definitely dark and rufous coloring. Sorry I don't know how to paste pic from OPUS into here.
