Hello,
I've recorded this bird on the 5th of July near Belfast aroun 10-11pm. It sounds like a juvenile owl to me but I'm really not experienced with such bird. Any suggestion?

Somewhat reminiscent of the begging calls of young woodpigeons in the nests in my garden. I can't hear anything owl-like.

Hi Rafnuss,
How dark was it at the time, and what was the habitat like in the area? It's not any of the Irish owls, but I'm torn between calls made by younger Herring Gulls and, completely unrelated, Common Buzzard chicks. Both of these species would be found in the general area.
Regards,
Harry
