Audubon VideoGuide to 505 Birds of NA (1 Viewer)

I was just about to order the "Audubon 505 Birds of North America" on 2 DVD's before reading several negative comments on Amazon -- the main complaint seemed to be the video transfer from the original VHS tapes; poor quality, fuzzy images, etc.; there were also problems with the DVD indexing and the audio.

Has anybody purchased this product on DVD? Any info would be appreciated as I would really like another reference besides Thayers.

Hi Born to Bird,

I rented a copy from the local library. Not very entertaining to watch and not much value in my opinion as a reference tool - the video grabs of the birds are very short - sometimes replaced with still pics with rarer birds. It totally put me off purchasing a copy.
