Thought this may be of use for anyone who needs to power/charge their camera/ p d a/ mobile while out "In the field".
I recently purchased a "Power Monkey" ! which to put it simply is a small device that you charge up and connect to your camera or whatever when needed, the makers claim it can give enough power for a digital camera to take 1600 shots, and will hold its charge for a year.
With the kit you get various connectors for most devices so that should not be a problem.
cost was about £35 or so
I think they have also brought out a solar powered unit as well !
