hoverfly ID please (1 Viewer)

I wonder if anyone can confirm the ID of this hoverfly, about 1 cm long, which is common in my garden, please?
I think it could be Sphaerophoria scripta but they are so confusing to a novice like me!:brains:

Thanks for that Steve. Clearly it's a female (judging by the length of the abdomen) and the URL you have linked to says that the females are hard to distinguish. So I'd better put it down as Sphaerophoria sp. (I'm not really keen to get 'voucher speciments').
Thanks for pointing me to that site: interesting photos of odos, too!
