Was too small to be a song thrush, and in my *limited* experience I've normally seen those on the ground or in trees. the bird photographed spent a lot of time fluttering between the tops of the shrubs.

Thanks for the replies. Have checked some dodgy video footage I took against some on YouTube and, from its call I will agree with you on Meadow Pipit. Again, many thanks!
