heya, is there a peak month/week for this?

am guessing early august?

They roost close to the shore then head off to sea in the day to feed?

I might be in yorkshire, about 10th augs, still time to see them ?

Havent been to hornsea for years, is this all happening around a sewage outfall?
 
I helped out with some ringing years ago on the Merseyside coast where we cannon-netted 20-30 at a time - i think it was mid-sept iirc:t:
