Dove ID - Israel (1 Viewer)

Paul E

Time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so
I spent a couple of days on business in Tel Aviv and hope someone can ID a bird from these very basic details. It was a dove about the size of a collared dove but was darker with a lot of purple on it and it had a long slightly downward curving beak. I am sure its very common there but I don't have guide for that region. I would very like to add it to my list if anyone can name it for me.
Thanks
