Bird song ID help, please? (1 Viewer)

I have heard a couple of birds today that I couldn't identify. I finally IDed the pine warbler. I checked the rest of the warblers, but didn't find the other song. So it's probably a different family.

The bird is found in middle Michigan in a mostly wooded area. The song sounds to me like: chrr-rump chrr-rump chrr-rump. It's descending, fairly slow, and almost always repeated in threes.

Any clues??? The sound sites online don't make ID very easy for beginners, and it's not on my CDs. Any and all help appreciated!

TIA
Sue
