A bird at Ashton Gardens, Lancashire, England (1 Viewer)

Hello, all.

I'm an amateur so I don't want to make assumptions. This bird dived into the pond while I was taking photos, and I'm sorry that this was as close as I could get. It wasn't congregating with the Mallard ducks that are in plentiful supply at the same pond. What species is it?

Richard

A white domestic Mallard type, looks like it has some of the "Call Duck" breed in its ancestry on structure (particularly the short, blunt bill).
