Canon 1.4x TC

I've finally got round to buying the Canon 1.4x TC, combining it with a 350D and 100-400mm zoom. Image stabiliser is okay, auto focus not available (as stated in the instructions)
I've tried taping the pins but that de-activates the IS aswell. Time to learn some technique, and get more accustomed to my camera!

Thanks for the link Keith, I tried taping the pins today but couldn't figure out why i could only see 8 (11 in the diagram) I've just realised i was looking at the pins on the camera body instead of the TC. Doh! What a dingbat.
Back to the drawing board, i'll try again tomorrow.
