the neighbor of a friend of mine saw this unusual white bird in her yard and had someone come over from a nearby university to take this photo. she was kind enough to share this photo with me and seems to be interested in what kind of finch it is. they said that it was a white finch which is rare. didn't say what kind of finch tho. it doesn't look like a housefinch to me, but i could be wrong. any ideas on what kind of finch we might be looking at here?
