Google Street View birding (1 Viewer)

Sorry would love to, but won’t have the time currently unfortunately :-C, guess I am one of the lucky ones and can work from home rather than being furloughed, at the moment at least.

I am getting my eye in slowly and have found a few more, but nothing new afaik - upgrade on Great Egret, and a couple of Grackles, but I am no expert on them so will leave that to others as to whether they are repeats or not!

Grackle https://goo.gl/maps/wxas9H7cfjiqgf6s6

Another Grackle? https://goo.gl/maps/NWKtMUzpFKvmPtZ97
OK thanks!

Both Boat-tailed :t:

Argh totally missed Boat-tailed had been seen already (that was my hunch at type of Grackle ;)) - guess just another possible upgraded shot then! - don’t reckon I’ll find anything first at this rate, everyone else is just too good 3:)

Can't see it? Only more Maned Ducks and Coots?

Emu

Excellent! #252 - how many km of searching to find them??

Koala

Wow! How the hell did you manage to spot that!?!

My fault again :-C But the Maned Ducks are much better!:t:
Second try: Australian Ringneck

About the Emus and Koala: Cheating 8-P
I made the search a little easier for me with some hints and therefore saved a lot of kilometers. After all, it's more environmentally friendly if you don't drive too much car. |:D|
Looked here https://theculturetrip.com/pacific/...places-to-see-australias-incredible-wildlife/ but the Cassowary and Platypus still seem impossible.

Everywhere I've checked recently only seems to have Feral Pigeons. No matter which continent, the only birds that are recognisable are Feral Pigeons.

I googled this topic a while back and found an article with some really good links to some really good birds that we don't have (and quite possibly will never get by chance alone) but decided not to post them, as it felt a bit like cheating. Though I was tempted by the Ivory Gull....

@Stonefaction: I looked at some links, but did not see any bird we didn't find already. Most of interesting birds are 'see inside' or individual peoples links. For this I could by myself find e.g. inside look at seabird colones. I could not locate that Ivory Gull. Only I got other peoples found Caribou, American Bison and Moose, but do not post them here.

Jurek, there were a few species that weren’t ‘see inside’ in the couple of articles I looked at. Knowing that our list didn’t allow those I ignored those that weren’t Google ‘street view’. Andean Condor, Ivory Gull and Chinstrap Penguin were all not on the list when I first looked and were genuine Google Street View. There were others of interest that were just ‘see inside’ including a Hummingbird in Alaska.

the Google Street View Birding facebook group is on about 1150 species.

I wonder if list of species with URLs can be shared if I don't have a Facebook account?

I also looked a little at Spitzbergen, Greenland and Arctic Canada trying to find an Ivory Gull, but all I got were Kittiwakes and Northern Fulmars. But I saw some blokes in cammo excitedly photographing birds ;)
