Unusual bird song in UK garden (1 Viewer)

Johann Sebastian Bach

Despite being no more than 5 metres away, I've not been able to see this "bird-in-a-bush". The recording of its song is truncated: the 4-note call is made about once every 45 seconds.

It could also be a juvenile Magpie; you wouldn't believe some of the sounds they make. (I think I uploaded a video of one going through it's repertoire, but that was a couple of years ago)

Since the calls come from very similar (or possibly identical) places, I think the fledgling suggestion is highly likely. There's certainly tonal similarity with a blackbird. My only doubt about accepting the juvenile blackbird suggestion is the volume of the call: it's very strident, louder than an adult blackbird.
