Nedd's Barn Owl ... ? (1 Viewer)

Björn Bergenholtz

(former alias "Calalp")
Sweden
Friends,
in older Swedish lists of extinct bird we sometimes find a "barbudatornuggla" (meaning Barbuda Barn Owl) with the scientific name "Tyto neddi", however this "species" is not listed in the most recent Swedish list (nor among the extinct subspecies listed in IOC's list 7.1, the basis for the former).

Anyone know what taxon it is/was?
