    New Zealand Fur seal

As I'm focused on herons and oystercatchers, I glance to my left to see this Fur seal charging me! My first response is to move back. Then I do what any self respecting wildlife photog would do, catch the moment...then move back, LOL. Turns out it was just trying to get to the dunes for nap...

Juvenile Little Tern. 6 weeks ago there were no chicks, the adults had only just arrived, and now they have loads of chicks, all out hunting for themselves. A remarkably quick breeding season. Taken froma a good way off to avoid disturbance and getting pooed on by adults :D
