All shook up
This Bittern crept furtively through the reeds then stepped into the open and started to do a strange little dance, running about, flapping and stretching and shaking it's feathers, it was very entertaining! It did this for several minutes before slinking away into the reedbed- Mahsleb

I met up with BF members Simon (Lovejoy) and Clare (Rosefinch) yesterday in the Bittern hide at Minsmere, The Bitterns were performing well with two parading in front of the hide and several more seen in flight over the reserve Great to meet you both again Simon and Clare, happy holidays!- Mahsleb

Bye bye Bittern
as you can see from the other image I found this bird having a good look around from the top of the reeds, after a few minutes it made its moe and flew to another location- Duke Leto

I think I may have disturbed this Bittern's meal, it took off quite close to me and flew off krawking(?) loudly Luckily I had the camera set up for birds in flight and was ready for it, that makes a change! ;)- Mahsleb
