    nothing special about it, as a matter of fact this is a real common bird in the red sea shores but last Monday was the first time i see one. this is taken on a dry mangrove swamp, although i tired my best to hide behind the mangroves and move carefully towards it, he did not let me come closer...

    I've been trying to get close to this crab plover for a week. On Thursday I went too far onto the soft mud and got bogged down, fortunately I was towed out before the tide came in. So far this is as near as I've managed.
