    Subalpine Warbler. Sadly 24 hours after this pic was taken he flew in front of a car and was killed. A Dutch birder retrieved the body and buried him under his favourite singing post and put a large stone over him.

    This very Rare Migrant turned up on my patch yesterday. With a strong East wind blowing Fog and temperatures around 6 degrees the bird was forced to feed on Fat Balls in a Garden something I never thought I would see a Subalpine Warbler doing but when you are hungry you eat whats available.
