  11. Robin the spotlight

    Robin the spotlight

This rockin' robin was very tame, and seemed insistent on being photographed, despite competition from some very friendly horses in the field to the right. I took a few shots at full zoom and then started edging forward, expecting it to fly off. The robin gave me a variety of nice poses; this...

    Barbed Wire Robin

Well,it worked! Not something that I'll do as a regular thing for fear of becoming a photography geek, but it was fun on a freezing afternoon. These two Robin photo's were taken with a sigma 300mm macro lens, tripod mounted and pre-focused,manually on 'the spots' then, using one of those wireless...

    The Seasonal Robin

It's the UK, we've had an inch or two of snow. What to do? Get out and photograph a Robin! It's when these Cheery Chappies realy do allow us to appreciate our short winters and get a few photographic memento's.

    Robin's ear?

Silly question and sorry about the poor photo, however, I've spotted a black area behind his eye and on the border between his red feathers and grey ear-coverts. Is this the opening to his ear?

    Robins

These 4 robins have been chasing each other around my garden all day. There's no chance of getting them all in the same shot, unfortunately this is the best I can do. There are another 2 robins who have been quietly watching today's fun and games but they have't joined in. Are they pairing-up...

  25. Kiss my ....

    Kiss my ....

After taking many photos of my favourite little friend he turned around (Simpsons like) and showed me his backside. Good job he'd had a bath earlier on! He's one of those round robins as opposed to the long and slender ones so hopefully he wasn't asking "does my bum look big in this?"
