    I am lucky enough to have a fair number of these Goldfinches visiting my garden. Lately they have been bringing in their young ones and there is often a queue to get on one of the three feeders containing their favourite sunflower hearts.

    AAP During the winter months, we often head up to cultivated areas to see if we can find finches and winter thrushes. This day there was a 'charm' of Goldfinches in a tree which stayed there for long enough for a shot, but not long enough to digiscope LOL.
