    Golden moment

Twelve hours of sitting under a tree on a campsite in Madrigal de la Vera, Spain finally produced an Oriole in full view long enough to get a photo. Now I have an idea what a real wildlife photographer must feel like when they get the shot there are after, definitely a Madrigal moment
  7. Red Kite

    Red Kite

This may be the last Red Kite to be posted from the thousands that were taken last Sunday at Gigrin by BF members. Sorry it's taken so long to post as I've been busy dumping the my other 600 pics in the recycle bin. All the photos taken last Sunday and posted have been superb. Well done to...

  11. Hawfinch at Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, UK.

Hawfinch at Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, UK.

After 3 years birding and numerous trips to Cannock Chase in Staffordshire I managed to nail this bird from around 25 yards. The photo has been well and truly cropped but I'm still pleased with the result.
  12. Female Pheasant

    Female Pheasant

Couldn't resist showing this one off. The female looks a lot more colourful when its close up. I did have the advantage of being in a hide at Carsington in Derbyshire when it was taken.

    I just love these birds
  18. Great Bustards

    Great Bustards

Lucky enough to spot 12 Great Bustards in a field near Caceres Spain. Took a chance reversing for 200 yards to get a photo. Well worth the risk of a night or two in a Spanish jail.

    Digiscoped Kingfisher

This the best photo I have digiscoped since starting with the Nikon P500. It's only taken a year. So thanks to Rev45 for posting the correct settings. Also thanks to the Kingfisher for posing long enough for me to set things up.
  24. Kingfisher at Brandon

    Kingfisher at Brandon

At last a Kingfisher that stands still long enough to get a photo. This one hung around for over 3 hours and was still there when I left.
  25. Low flying Red Kite

    Low flying Red Kite

I pulled off the M40 hoping to get better veiws of the Red Kites that you can see when driving down the M40 motorway. This one flying over some fields so it was a lucky shot taken from a layby just outside Stokenchurch near the M40.
