A shy woodland species, more often heard than seen. The red legs and unmarked face and neck help distinguish this neotropical species. Formerly called "White-fronted Dove" because of the white forehead in some populations. The name "white-tipped" comes from the white tips to its tail feathers...
This bird was a few feet below the restaurant at El Dorado, in the area where they hang (some of) their hummingbird feeders. As you might notice, it is missing one of the central tail feathers, possibly due to moult.
