    The smallest of the world's bee-eaters. Sexes are alike. This widespread African species is divided into five races. This is M. p. argutus in which the there is a short blue eyebrow and a very narrow blue-white line between the black chest crescent and the yellow throat.

    I loved the session we were allowed to have with these two in good light on afternoon. They sat there next to each other, but their posture kept changing, there were scratches, wing-stretches, and so on.
