    This beautiful bird was munching mulberries while I was chatting with the the magpies and butcherbirds. He called out to me, but would only show me his head for a sec before ducking back in the thick branches. I grabbed the camera and gently spoke to him for a few minutes and he came out and posed.

    This chap flew into my garden and waited around till I got the D2Xs and bigma for some closeups. He was about 6 feet away feeding and did not worry I was there...... I think he is a regular feeder in my garden.....Shot Hand held 100% crop full frame image.....350th @ 6.3

    I went out thos morning looking for something more interesting, but all I could get was this. Beautiful birds but they are introduced to Perth and compete with native species.

    Very common bird in the Brisbane area. Not alwasy that easy to scope though. This individual showed up at the feeder.
