    Rubik's Cube Bird Feeder

For 40 years I have been obsessed with Rubik's Cubes and similar puzzles. It now combines my hobby and full time job and as well as designing, making, solving regular puzzles I also like to push the subject into new and weird directions. A puzzle chess set, a real functioning potato puzzle, a...

    Early bird gets the worm!

It is hard to get any decent action shots with manual lens so when it happens I am super happy. Probably the best shot I got with that glass.
  3. Odd wagtail

    Odd wagtail

This pied wagtail regularly collects mealworms off the bird table, flies to the birdbath, dips them in the water up to ten times, then takes them to its nest. its mate doesn't do it and I've not found any reference to this behaviour.

    My 2 worm Robin

Just managed to grab this shot of my Robin with 2 worms in his beak! A couple of times he's stood looking at me with 2 or 3 worms in his mouth, but ONLY when I had taken the card out of the camera!!! I have a mix of dried and live mealworms, but he only takes the live ones if he has the choice!

The first Robin and worm photo

After lasts years frantic feeding, this year has been very tame. This is the first photo I've managed to get of a Robin with a worm in it's beak. It's also the first time I've put out live mealworms instead of dried ones, and they certainly seem popular!

The morning after the wet night before!

Just grabbed this photo of a Robin on my fence looking a bit rough after a wet night out! He must be new to the area as he did not find the mealworms on my window sill!

This was taken a short time ago (about 1630) and is probably the best shot I've taken of Robin so far! He also just attacked a BT trying to take a Mealworm!
