    I managed to get this little guy to leave his lake-side tree and come down closer to me. His lady friend joined him a few moments later. I guess she couldn't resist his mighty territorial song!

    Three of us were standing by a blooming apple tree discussing our morning of birding when this Northern Parula landed on a branch no more than 10 feet away. The bird started preening and singing and remained perfectly still for quite some time. We couldnt believe what we were seeing; it is not...

    To me, this is one of the most beautiful warblers. It was photographed on beautiful Campobello Island, New Brunswick, while on an San Diego Audubon trip to Maine and the island.
