  1. Stargazing in Sweden

    Stargazing in Sweden

One of my first attempts to produce a decent photo of the night sky. Not optimal equipment or settings for this kind of photo with some light spill from nearby town in the bottom left and streaks of moving object at the top but I do think it came out quite well. Note: I hope this fits into the...

    Asian pied starling

Asian Pied Starlings occur naturally on the plains and low foothills of the Indian Subcontinent (South Asia) and Southeast Asia up to 2,300 feet (700 meters) above sea level. These starlings typically remain in areas with easy access to open water. Over the last decades, they have expanded their...

Rather spectacular cloud formation just before a storm in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
  9. Our City Lake_11

    Our City Lake_11

Visited the city lake again in the evening a couple of days ago. There is a park running alongside the lake, which is generally crowded with people, with boat rides etc. There wasn't much of bird activity in the water. But there was plenty of activity in and over the park. However, photography...

    Burnt Orange

http://www.tomcharlesphotography.co.uk/seascapes As its a rather featureless beach the very dramatic and fast changing skies more than make up for that 'problem' :)
  12. Macin Mountains

    Macin Mountains

An incredible landscape on the migration path of the birds of prey - so, an excellent place for spotting them during the migration

    Wind Power in Snow

I was a passenger on that day. Looking at the vast fields of central Illinois that looked so peaceful in a fresh snow. The sky here is so high and wide, looking at it one can feel so insignificant. Add the wind turbines to the landscape, and you can feel like an ant. An ant with a camera though :)

    Electric Blues

Ever wondered about winter blues? The right temperature, the right time of the day, and snow and sun - that's how you get them, winter blues.

    Ospreys Buzzing the Photographer

These two mating Ospreys decided I had been photographing them enough. The launched from the tree came around in formation and buzzed me. This shot is taken with a Nikon D50 and 28-80 zoom so you can see how close they came.
