    This is an introduction to a series of Snow Geese photographs to be posted over the next few days. There were over 60,000 Snow Geese at Middle Creek WMA when I was there. More are expected in the next two weeks. The lake is still mostly frozen and they were sitting/standing on top of the ice.

    Middle Creek WLR is a stagging stop for snow geese and we get upwards of 100,000 in the early spring as they wait got the lakes to thaw. They will fly to the northern circle to mate and nest.
