I was leaning against a gate post, waiting for a Whitethroat to reappear, when this Stoat suddenly popped up less than two metres away. For a couple of seconds it was unaware of my presence but it bounded off as soon as it heard the shutter noise. I never saw the Whitethroat again! Ron
Not the best of shots, these little guys are quick,in the time I stood and took a few shots of this, the stoat had taken 7 Sandmartin,and others had seen it doing the same,so it could have had as many as 15/20???,
This was going on at Minsmere,not sure what this will do to the Sandmartin...
My husbanmd Spotted this chap hunting pointed it out to me suggesting wher it might reappear.
It did for a very brief moment as it heard the camera click and was gone.

Haveing just pulled into a car park to track a buzzard that i was trying to photograph ,with no luck i was able to watch this little chap in action,not anythinglike i have seen before.
