    Walking along Axe Creek this afternoon I managed to get close enough to a female Fairy Wren. the males are more secretive and difficult.

    These wrens are ridiculously easy to photograph!! This is a non-breeding male because of the dark eye and black bill - the female has red around the eye and a brown bill.
