8x32 binocular with the most 'wow!' effect (1 Viewer)

You guessed it correctly. Longer focal length of eyepiece means lower magnification of binocular.
Not in this case. If you consider the photo below - 0598336_apm-ms-6x30_totale-2_640.jpg
This is of the apm 6x30.

Compare this to the photo below of the 6.5 x32

This binoculars looks to have a similar objective focal length given the prism housing and objective barrels so it doesn't look like it's the focal length of the eyepiece that's taking up more length - it has a slightly higher magnification of course where the longer focal length eyepiece would mean a lower magnification.

I'm not familiar with the 2 binoculars in questions so can't say if there are other optical differences but in this case I would say its unlikely to be the focal length of the eyepiece that's causing the extra length.

Many modern eyepiece series designed since the 1980s don't fit the notion of a longer focal length always equating to a longer eyepiece. That's because they use negative field groups that act as Barlow lenses to reduce the effective focal length of a basic design used throughout the series. The Pentax XW eyepieces are an example. The physically shortest 1.25"XW eyepiece is the 20mm and the longest is the 3.5mm. As you can see the Barlow field groups become more complex and more separated from the basic group as the effective focal length gets shorter and the physical length gets longer. The eyepieces used in the Swarovski EL/ NLs, the Canon IS series and some other flat field binoculars use this type of eyepiece.
