There are 2 sources of transmission graphs that many of us are aware of:

I think the Conquest HD is a good choice. Several others there wound be an equally good choice. That Leica Trinovid in that test is not the current model. The current model is a Trinovid HD. Also, take notice those tested/review binoculars are 8X42 and not 10X42. Some of the listed specs can/will be different.

Ok, so I bought the Conquest HD 10x42 and I was really disappointed with them. They had some problems with the focus wheel and it was not working properly and they had some bad CA even in the center of the image. I returned them to the store and now I've ordered a Leica Trinovid HD 10x42 from ebay. I was thinking of cancelling the order for the Leica and get a Monarch HG 10x42. What I really liked about the Zeiss was the light transmission wich was at a very high level. These were the brightest binoculars I've looked through. I really don't know what to do. So far it seems that spending more money on binoculars brings me more disappointment. Before this I had a Celestron Trailseeker ED 8x42 and a APM 10x50 and they were way better than this Zeiss.

Hopefully the Trinovid will work out better for you. It's good to compare different binoculars if you can and ordering a couple at the same time can help. There is an amazing price on a new Meopta Meostar HD 10x42 for £250 (normally around £500) on eBay sold by Optics Warehouse. You could order that as well and see if the extra money for the Trinovid is worth it. If it is great and send the Meostars back, if not send the Trinovids back and keep the Meostars. It might help you be satisfied with your choice.

Reading a lot of reviews about Zeiss Conquest HD and Leica Trinovid HD I've changed my mind(very bad decision) and ordered, this time from Germany, another brand new pair of Zeiss Conquest HD 10x42. This time the binocular is also out of collimation, the focus wheel still feels way worse than Sakura 60x90 binocular (you can fiind at about 22 euro brand new. This was my first binocular when i was about 14 years old), the prisms have some dust on them, a small finger print and some traces of cleaning liquid, visible only by illuminating the inside tubes with a flashlight. The image trough them is bright and very sharp, if you can focus it, but the CA is simply at the same level with 100 Euro chinese binoculars, no question about it. I will probably keep them and buy a cheaper binocular for serious use. I just wanted to share my experience with the legendary Zeiss company. The quality control on this binoculars it's simply appalling.
