Just thought of passing on a link to this highly raved about, recently released movie. Reading about it, it appears like its been in the works for a while.
A famous photographer Vincent Munier, writer Sylvain Tesson and a few others collaborate to bring this search for a snow leopard and other wildlife in Tibetan highlands.

( Vincent Munier's short "arctic" video is very well known in the wildlife photography community as well:
)

A few theaters showing: THE VELVET QUEEN
Here are a couple of reviews:
1. ‘The Velvet Queen’ Review: Searching for an Elusive Leopard
2. Review: Informed by majesty and wonder, 'The Velvet Queen' reveals the humane in nature

Not 100% sure if this post belongs in the forum, but they did use Binoculars + Spotting scopes to search for the animals. :)

Not to forget that the music is made by Nick Cave & Waren Ellis 👍

PS: At least in the trailer you can see people using binocluars/spotting scopes, so the binoculars forum fits quite well ;)

Best post of the decade. Those 9 minutes in the Arctic were mesmerizing.
Many thanks!

@mTown, my music knowledge is so poor, I do not know who Nick Cave and Warren Ellis are. I will try listening to some of their work!
@Pileatus, I am super glad you enjoyed the Arctic video. I have been a follower of Vincent Munier's works for a while now. His photographers are equally stunning! He somehow has the ability to evoke incredible emotions. I look at the photos I make of wildlife - Meh. :-D

The snow leopard is an absolutely amazing animal, and so is its main pray, the mountain goat. As an illustration, here is a short video:

Another really good documentary worth mentioning along these same lines is 'Ghost of the Mountains', which is a DisneyNature production which can be found on Netflix. An international group of filmmakers sets out on a mission to get up close and personal with a family of elusive snow leopards.

Stunning scenery, as well as a lot of binos, spotting scopes, cameras, etc.
