Hi Folks,
Titled Bill Oddie on the Wild Side and just for the record I like John Aitchison, he is another enthusiastic cameraman. Maybe we should have cameramen make the programmes without the presenters and we enjoy the films for the wildlife and scenery, if that makes sense. With sub headings for idiots like me giving every species of bird as they are shown.
Wednesday 9 January T BBC2 8.00 - 8.30 VP 4557 and BBC2 Wales 9.00 - 9.30 VP 5151
Bill Oddie, cameraman John Aitchison and sound recorder Chris Watson reveal the hidden lives of Britain's wildlife. John lies in wet sand for seven hours to film knots- a small bird. Chris records the sounds of some sandhoppers. Bill investigates the history of hares, discovering that they 'lay eggs' at Easter and have been mistaken for witches. Filmed in locations as varied as Richmond park, the Scilly Isles and Bill's garden.
Happy New Year
