Sorry, the moth flew into the ether before I was ready! This is a day flying moth in Devon mid-Sept. Can't see anything like it in any of the books I have. Any help appreciated. (I'll try to put my request alongside the image next time!)

Thank you so much Harrybongo. Having seen a few images now, it's looks a dead ringer. It's not in my moth book, unfortunately. Any recommendations for a good moth id book?

Hi, pleasure! Yeah, a 'Concise Guide to the Moths of Great Britain and Ireland', Martin Townshend and Paul Waring, with excellent illustrations by, Richard Lewington, is an excellent guide!....... One of the best! 👍
