Assistance please - some sort of heron? Brisbane Australia March 24 (1 Viewer)

Hi folks, I would appreciate any assistance in identifying this one. Please note I have brightened the photo as the photo was taken in the early morning and the sun was behind the bird. I suspect this is a juvenile, but there were no other birds like this around. It is about the same height as a whimbrel. Bird was seen in the wetlands at Griffin just north of Brisbane (QLD) this morning.

Yes, I agree, there's little else it could be I think. They're such a variable species too LOL.
