I recently captured this series of photos of what looks like a female House Sparrow attacking a breeding male. I am pretty new to birding and have never seen such behavior before.
Initially, the two birds seemed to engage in an aerial dogfight before landing on this tiled roof and continuing fighting.
Could someone help me understand the cause of such aggression? Thank you.
