Barbados ‘finches’ in flight id. (1 Viewer)

Hi,
There are two small grassland birds in Barbados: Black-faces Grassquit and Grassland Yellow-finch. Is their flight pattern in flock similar or different? I saw a small flock of 6-7 birds flying finch-style overhead. Calling.
Thanks.

Flight pattern is not something I would use to identify these two. The size of the flock seems more likely for the yellowfinch. Whether you will use that as identification is up to you.

Did you hear them? The yellowfinch is relatively easy to recognize, and the sound can be heard in the free Merlin app.

I heard the call, it was more melodic than usual tseeep of grassquit, like the first call from Merlin app.
Thank you!
