The Big Garden Birdwatch Results are in and The House Sparrow remains No 1.
1. House Sparrow
2. Starling
3. Blue Tit
4. Chaffinch
5. Blackbird
6. Woodpigeon
7. Great Tit
8. Robin
9. Goldfinch
10. Coal Tit
 
Loads of Starlings and sparrows here, although sparrows are down on their peak 15 years ago, flocks of a dozen rather than 30+! The one that we have lots of that doesn't make the list is Dunnock. Literally trip over these in the garden, especially the youngsters. Also we get wrens breeding in the ivy. Few chaffinches and even fewer goldfinches recently. There were a couple of goldfinches today hanging around the feeders but the sparrows chased them off.
