Bigma vs Bigmos test (1 Viewer)

WayuU

Greenpeace Nordic Systems Engineer
I had a Bigma and wanted to see if a switch to the Bigmos was a good choice or not.
I decided to do my own tests as when I got the Bigmos there were no tests between these two. I don't know if there are any extensive tests on them yet either.

My test is only of the quality of the images in relation to sharpness using AF.
I also tested the OS feature vs none on the Bigma. There is text on the site to explain the photos and tests.

I had heard before buying my Bigmos, that the AF was very slow. The tests I've done do not show that, it's at least as fast as the Bigma.

I have not done any post processing to any of my photos. They are directly converted from RAW (NEF) to JPG. They are in ProPhoto RGB color space so a color managed browser is preferred, or you can download them and use color managed viewer.

I'm not giving any personal thoughts on the results of the tests, other than those about the AF and OS.

It's up to each and everyone to do their own conclusions.

I hope my work helps someone.

Here is the test:

Perhaps the reason why there seems to be no interest is that when you follow that link you have to SIGNUP for Flickr. I sure don't want to have to join something just to look at pictures. I think you should consider using a different method to post your pictures. I did want to look at them till I encountered that.

No, that problem does not exist. I don't know why you have received that. Flickr service does not popup or demand any signup, it's all completely open for the world to see everything there unless I state privacy options not to.

You might have tried reaching the site yesterday or today and I closed it down yesterday.

I've tried the site on many ppl who don't have Flickr account and it works just fine.

I have also only been able to get a Flicker account request.

I have tried but just get a sign in to Yahoo request. This thread has has 234 views but if you cannot get into the pics it is unlikely you will get any response .

AS I said, there is no problem with the link or Flickr. The problem resides with your browser then and I can't do anything about that.

I've had several 100's of views on each photo from other forums and I've asked a lot of ppl to test this forums link and NO one has any problem.

I'm betting you all have tried today or yesterday and you have not read the thread, especially my posts, thoroughly.

It's CLOSED since yesterday. That is why you get to a sign up page.
