Binoculars and the Titanic (1 Viewer)

As luck would have it, a while back I read an article addressing the issue of binoculars and their utility to the Titanic's lookouts - https://www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/we-have-no-look-out-glasses-in-the-crows-nest.html It's fairly lengthy, but worth reading, if the topic is of interest.

Essentially, binoculars back in 1912 weren't anything like those of today, and may not have helped the Titanic's crew as much as might be supposed...
