Hello everyone!
I’ve been thinking about something lately and wanted to ask for your thoughts. I recently wondered what bird species have the least number of eBird reports, and that led me to a follow-up question: "What species have absolutely no reports on eBird?". Of course, many of these are likely extinct, but I'm more curious about species that are still around and have no reports. Are there any birds out there with fewer than a hundred reports?
I came across an article from about a decade ago that listed around 330 species without any reports on eBird (including extinct ones). Has that number changed in the past few years, or are there still species with no sightings or reports? I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences on this!
Looking forward to hearing from you all!
