Bird to ID in Leeds, England (1 Viewer)

I took this photo back in June and it wasn’t one I really paid much attention to, not being too interested in birds at the time. Even though I’m starting to get into birding, the longish, pointed beak is still unfamiliar to me. But I know someone here will know right off and I’ll probably feel a bit daft!

My old chemistry professor used to say “there’s no such thing as a daft question” keep on asking, eventually you will be answering other members questions
 
Agreed - I had a chemistry prof who used to keep a hip flask in her lab coat - we were all too scared of her to ask what was in it - oh the 1980’s :)
