Returned from a 15 day bird photography in Gambia, together with a friend photographer. Unique experience, so many birds ...This is truly THE country for bird photography and spotting. The number of birds are to nummerous to list...ranging from the beautiful bee-eaters to frigatebirds, pelicans, large herons, vultures, hawks, eagles, falcons, 3 kind of Kingfishers etc...More than 400 species. Prices are very affordable and the country has a mild climate ( no too hot) Best period is November through April. Our guide ( Ebrima Ceesay ) recently started his own company Professional Bird Photography & Spotting Tours in Gambia . Country is poor, but very friendly people. To recommend.
